Regular vacuuming is the first and best defense in keeping carpets and rugs clean.
In the case of a low traffic carpet it should be vacuumed at least once a week and with professional help it is recommended between 6 months and 12 months. High traffic carpets should be vacuumed 2 to 3 times a week and professionally cleaned between 3 and 6 months.
